Merry (belated) Christmas & happy holidays!


How was your holiday? Ours was low key, relaxed and over all just really lovely. I stuffed myself with roasted potatoes and Yorkshire pudding and washed it all down with a few glasses of champagne. So you'll say that i used to be comfortably within the ‘merry’ stage. it had been great.


And now we’re here! I gotta say – after these past few months of eating, baking and indulging I’m pretty excited to only take a moment , step faraway from the cookie dough, and specialise in eating a touch cleaner for a touch . to not be the most important cliche within the world, but i really like that January is typically dedicated to wash eating and healthy habits for tons of individuals . It’s refreshing in multiple ways….just like this green monster smoothie!


HOW TO MAKE : GREEN MONSTER SMOOTHIE


I’ve already got a tropical green smoothie recipe here on the blog, but I do desire this one really earns the ‘green monster’ title. It’s such a powerhouse of nutrients and anti-inflammatory ingredients, made up of:


🌱Kale
🌱Romaine
🌱Parsley
🌱Ginger
🌱Mango
🌱Pineapple


It’s fresh, zippy, and 100% good for you – and better of all – it’s just a smoothie so it’s super easy to form . Like most smoothies you'll fiddle with the flavours if you wish by adding more or less pineapple and mango to regulate the sweetness, etc.
This smoothie may be a really good way to urge a healthy start to your morning. I personally enjoy blending it together later within the day as more of a pick-me-up and it really does the trick. However/whenever you've got – I hope you enjoy!


INGREDIENTS


4 kale leaves, ribs removed
5 romain leaves
1 inch fresh ginger
1 cup mango (fresh or frozen)
1/2 cup pineapple (fresh or frozen)
1/2 cup loosely fresh parsley
1 1/2 cup | 360 ml water


INSTRUCTIONS

1. Add everything to a blender and process until smooth. Add more water as required .
2. Divide between two glasses and enjoy!


NOTES


If using all fresh ingredients you'll want to blend additional ice along side your smoothie or simply add ice to your smoothie glass once you drink it.


Ginger are often a really powerful ingredient - especially if you are not wont to it. If you are not sure you wish it i like to recommend using 1/2 inch initially . you'll always add more if you wish it.
